Autism & Girls

A safe place to feel accepted, listened to and happy

We recognise that autism presents differently in girls and no two autistic girls are the same. At Corfe Valley, through our professional and personal experience, we have created a space that we believe lends itself particularly well to help autistic girls unmask, socialise and be themselves.

Understanding – Calm – Quiet – Friendly – Creative

Why is Corfe Valley a Good Fit?

We have a genuine understanding of autism and girls and how unique this is to each individual. We understand that many girls who come to us have been masking for years and are on the verge of burnout or have been. Many have felt socially isolated and have had high levels of anxiety, low self-esteem and are suffering from a range of mental health issues including self-harm.

At Corfe Valley, by providing a nurturing, understanding environment, where many of our staff have their own children with autism, we have helped  these girls to be themselves, learn their value and feel more comfortable with their needs.

We encourage children to explore their creativity and recognise their potential. With the right support and guidance, autistic girls are successful, self-aware, proud, happy and independent young people and able to live and go on to further education independently and pursue a variety of careers.

You have given her the confidence, the ability to live her life again.
