Accredited Provision
We are on the Dorset Supporting Progress and Inclusion Framework and are an accredited Alternative Provision provider for BCP Council. We have a number of contracts and service level agreements with schools across Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset.
“‘It was lovely to see what a nurturing environment you are able to offer to vulnerable young people. Staff were really attuned and empathic towards the differing needs of the young people in the setting. They have a good understanding of the needs of the children and the curriculum aims at finding things the young people are comfortable doing and offer a secure predictable routine while offering some challenges and new experiences.”

The Referral Process
We can accept referrals from any registered school, Local Authority or other professional channel such as as CAMHS or Educational Psychologist.
Once the referral is made, we work in close partnership to ensure a bespoke, child-centred plan is built around the young person to enable us to help meet their needs.
We encourage visits to our site from parents and staff involved with the child to meet us, see our site and view our safeguarding procedures. This gives confidence in our service and helps us to form a strong partnership in order to help give the best possible outcomes for the young person.
Communication – Collaboration – Commitment
Communication
- A personal, professional approach

- Weekly attendance updates

Our Commitment
Once a clear plan and timeframes have been agreed, we begin our work with the young person. Our dedicated team of highly-skilled, qualified teachers, plan and deliver high-quality sessions and experiences targeted to help make progress towards their outcomes.
We build strong, positive relationships with the young person to create a safe, inclusive environment.
We keep the Local Authority, schools and parents updated with clear lines of communication. We regularly update with the referrer to ensure that we are meeting need and that our service is having an impact on the young person often on a daily basis.
Transitions
We are keen to ensure all of our young people succeed in a sustainable return to their educational settings. We work with schools and parents to ensure that a smooth transition is put in place to enable this. Often, we will continue our work with a young person, reducing our hours over time – we have found that a well-managed, staged transition is the key to a successful return to school.
Safeguarding
All of our staff are committed to ensuring the safeguarding of all of our children and young people and receive comprehensive annual safeguarding training and regular updates.
Our Level 3 Multi-Agency Safeguarding trained Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Safeguarding Leads have developed a culture of sharing information. We have rigorous policies and procedures in place, which are in line with the Pan-Dorset Safeguarding guidance.
We use the secure online platform MyConcern to log and share all of our safeguarding information.
