Corfe Valley
A safe place to feel accepted, listened to and happy
We are an alternative provision that goes above and beyond to help all of our young people to feel a sense of belonging, build friendships and develop life long skills enabling them to be happy and confident individuals.
Trust – Care – Safety – Support – Communication
We truly understand
We provide a nurturing, understanding approach, where many of our staff have their own children with additional needs, so can offer a unique environment to the benefit of our young people and their families. Your child will be able to be themselves, build friendships and feel safe and valued at Corfe Valley. We feel this is rather special.
We operate on a small scale, maintaining a limited amount of children here each day, allowing all children to benefit from the calm and to always know there is a trusted adult available all day, every day.

Confidence in us
Safeguarding your Child
Our provision is led by experienced, qualified teachers with a solid understanding of safeguarding young people from their time working in schools. We have rigorous safeguarding and safer recruitment policies and procedures in place and all staff are enhanced DBS checked and complete annual safeguarding training. Our main priority is always to keep your child safe.
Communication:
We will keep you updated on how your child is settling in and progressing with our comprehensive weekly reports. Each report will contain photographic and written evidence for you to keep up to date and talk about at home about your child’s successes and experiences.
Support:
We are competent and regularly attend meetings for your child and will always support and advocate for them and your whole family. We are happy to signpost you to further support and make sure you and your child are getting the best support available.
Accredited Provision
We are on the Dorset Supporting Progress and Inclusion Framework and are an accredited Alternative Provision provider for BCP Council. We are trusted by and have a number of contracts and service level agreements with schools across Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset.
Flexibility
You know your child best and we will listen to you to ensure they get the most out of their placement with us. From a phased start if beneficial, to increased communication – we know how starting a new setting is a big step for both children and their families.
“‘We can never thank you, Tom, Kirstie and the team enough for what you are doing for my son. In a small number of weeks you have created a safe space where he no longer needs to mask and exhaust himself trying to fit in all day.
He was in burnout and emotionally fragile in a way we had not seen in a long time. We took the biggest gamble taking him away from mainstream schooling but we are now seeing the difference it has made to him and watch him excited to share with us each day of his learning and interaction.
We are so grateful for your vision of what a therapeutic setting should look like, feel like and deliver to children and young people hour by hour, day by day.
My only regret is that we didn’t find you sooner.”
Thank you.
