Safeguarding

A safe place to feel accepted, listened to and happy

Corfe Valley is committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of all of our young people and staff. Safeguarding is our highest priority. We have robust policies and procedures in place – praised by OFSTED, Local Authorities and schools as being ‘academy standard’.

Confidence in us

Keeping our young people safe

Our experience as senior leaders in a range of educational settings, including a National Teaching Academy, has given us confidence in instilling a culture of safeguarding everyone at Corfe Valley.

We are never complacent and our safeguarding policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and follow the latest guidance from Pan Dorset Safeguarding Partnership, Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children Documents.

Our safeguarding leads are proficient and comfortable in multi-agency environments and we work professionally alongside Social Services, CAMHS, schools, parents and counselling services. We also support professionals in writing EHCPs and supporting documents for CAMHS.

All staff are trained in using MyConcern to log and share safeguarding concerns securely with other professionals involved in a young person’s care.
